Song: Chaman Me Rehake Viraana, Mera Dil Hota Jaata Hai
Khushi Me Aaj Kal Kuchh Gam Bhi Shaamil Hota Jata
Hai ...

        Film: Deedar (1952)
        Music: Naushad
        Lyrics: Shaqeel Badayui
        Singer: Shamshad Begum
        *ing: Dilip Kumar, Nimmi, Nargis

Today, on aajahaani Shaqeel Badaayuni's 27th death anniversary,
allow me to recall this Shaqeel-Shamshad-Naushad creation. This
is one more Naushad tune that I can go on listening. I need not
write any thing on this entire soundtrack , as it's one of the
well acclaimed. But for Naushad, we would have missed so many
great Shamshad songs.

I will merely list other songs, for sake completeness:

This immortal Rafi number:
        Aseer-E-Panja-E-Ahal-E-Shabaab Kar Ke Muze
Kahaan Gayaa Meraa Bachpan Kharaab Kar Me Muze

Huve Hum Jinake Liye Barbaad Wo Chaahen Hum Ko Kare Na
Yaad, Jeevan Bhar

One more gem from him:

Meri Kahaani Bhulane Waale, Tera Jahaan Abaad Rahe

Lata sung, 'Duniyaa Ne Teri Duniya Waale, Sukh Chain Hamaara
Chhin Liya' and this nostalgic 'Le Jaa Meri Duvaayen Leja, Pardes
Jaane Waale, Le Ja Meri Duvaayen'. Sweetness of her voice in this
song, is noticeable.

Finally two duets, each one involving Latabai. First, a Rafi-Lata
duet

Dekh Liyaa Maine, Qismat Ka Tamaasha Dekh Liya
Ik Aag Lagi, Ik Aag Buzi, Aankhon Ne Meri Kya
Dkeh Liya ...
Dekh Liyaa Maine, Saajan Tera Waada Dekh Liya
Raste Pe Hun Main, Manzil Pe Hai Tu, Ye Pyaar Ka
Naata Dekh Liya

that finds place at top in my list evergreen Rafi-Lata duets. And
secondly this sweet Shamshad-Lata duet:

Ho~~ Bachpan Ke Din Bhulaa Na Dena
Aaj Hanse Kal Rulaa Na Dena

I always put forward this film (and Anokhi Ada) as an example of
glory of Shamshad's voice, to those who think she didn't sound as
sweet as Lata, for her nasal? voice. In this duet too, both
compliment each other in wonderful way.

Well, that was not just listing of songs! But then what is aadat
se majboor ? :)
