        Song:   Hanske na teer chalaana
                Dil khud hi banegaa nishaana
Tum itna na hum pe sitam dhaana

        Film:   Beqasoor (1950)
        Music:  Hansraj Behl
        Lyrics: Ehsan Rizvi
        Singer: Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd Rafi
        *ing:   Madhubala, Ajit

This delightfully charming duet, picturized in  the  movie  as  a
theater-stage  dance  sequence  with  Madhubala  and  some random
dancer, is one  of  Hansraj  Behl's  two  contributions  to  this
memorable  Anilda-dominated soundtrack. Nice catchy lyrics, and a
very sweet tune. One of the things I find very alluring  in  this
song is its changing rhythm... slowing down a little bit with the
antaraas, catching up with the "tum itna na  hum  pe..."  in  the
mukhada. The short rhythm piece following the opening bars of the
song (just before the mukhada starts) in  particular,  is  rather
captivating.

In general, percussion is rather lushly orchestrated in  both  of
his  scores  in the movie. His other song is also a similar Lata-
Rafi duet, picturized on an almost identical dance sequence :

"Ankhiyaan gulaabi jaise madh ki hain pyaaliyaan
Jaagi hui aankhon mein sharam ki hain laaliyaan"
