For those of you who have joined recently, "Rmim"-Jhim Geeton Ki or RJGK is a quiz in which the clues are lines (which may not be complete) from somewhere in the middle of a song, and all you have to do is guess the song. If the main clue is not sufficient, there is additional information provided within the junk, in and around the main clue, but it is cryptic. User Discretion required. Eg: For the clue hamaar deshavaa maa.n ga.ngaa maiya aur jamunaa maiyaa ki kirapaa hai para.ntu mehanat kari to fasal hoi. chhokariyaa ke pichhe laagi gaye to sab chaupat. # laagaa gujariyaa se kaisaa nehavaa hamaar, hoi gavaa chaupat moraa rojagaar Ans: Movie : gangaa-jamunaa Song: nain laR jaii hai to manavaa maa.n kasak hoi be kari The most important thing to remember : ************************************************************************* *** Do not post your answers on the net. Email them to Mohan Rathore *** *** at rathore@ece.rutgers.edu by Sept. 10th, 1995 *** ************************************************************************* ---------- ABOUT RJGK ---------- The first RJGK was posted on Rmim by Sami Mohammed on July 4, 1993. Since then, 25 more quizzes have been conducted on the net by various Rmimers. The second quiz in the series was conducted by Angela Singh. Abhay Avachat, who compiled RJGK 3 had the great idea that each RJGK be set to a certain theme and dedicated it to Mohammed Rafi. Since then, each RJGK has been set to a particular theme - the recent one by Rennu Thamma, being 25th, was for RJGK's silver zubali celebration. All the previous RJGK can be accessed from Sami's home-page... http://www.lehigh.edu/sm0e/public/www-data/rjgk.html ............................................................................... About RJGK - 26 The theme of this quiz was concieved from Kedar Naphade's RJGK-19 : sogns based on classical raga. Loosely the theme of this quiz is songs based on folk music, but that's not entirely true. From these songs, you get some glimpses of indian life. Since music is so much part of indian life, there are songs for every occasion, in any part of the country. And this knowledge is normally passed down to generations in traditional way. And this kind of music is in people's heart. They may not know the sa re ga of the music, but the feelings are expressed anyway. There are 21 clues in all. The subclues are embedded into the description around the main clue. I have tried to pick up the popular songs as much as I can. But you are the judge. Without any further delay (like deshi trains) lets start our journey.
