Here is what Nerurakar says in the book called "svaraashaa":

The number of songs sung by Asha in various languages is as follows:

Hndi films		7594
Marathi films		1200
Gujarati films		 450
Panjabi films		 250
Bangali films		 350
Bhojpuri films		 150
Rajasthani/magadhi
/maithili/marawadi films  50
other language films	  50
non-filmi songs		 250

Total		       10344

(In this list, the number of Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Panjabi
songs is totally accurate. But the number of Bangali, Bhojpuri,
Rajasthani, Magadhi, Maithili, Marawadi and other regional language
songs is estimated.)

My comment: It is hard to believe that the number of songs in the
languages claimed to be "totally accurate" is divisible by 10 or
100. My feeling is that these are also estimates. In the absence of an
exact count, one might say that the error in the number of
non-Hindi-film songs (2750) should be calculated from a Gaussian
distribution (square root of 2750) and so the total number of songs
sung by Asha is

10344 plus-minus 52.
