#127 Song: Kahan Ho Tum Zaraa Awaaz Do, Ham Yaad Karate Hain Kabhi Bharate Hain Aanhe Aur Kabhi Phariyaad Karate Hain Film: Malhaar (1951) Music: Roshan Lyrics: Kaif Irfani Singer: Lata Mangeshkar, Mukesh *ing: C Arjun, ? Mukesh, became producer with this film. It was produced under the banner of Darling Films. Film flopped on box-office, but became a great musical hit. Team of Roshan-Mukesh-Kaif Irfani-Indeevar brought to us some most melodious songs ever. This song, is my favourite from the film. Besides, Indeevar wrote his first hit 'Bade Armaano Se Rakha Hai Balam'. I love "Ik Baar Agar Tu Kehde' (penned by Kaif) over this one for it's softness. Lata and Mukesh are very sweet. Lata brought to us title song and two more solos 'Muhobat Ki Kismat Banane Se Pehle Zamaane Ke Malik Tu Roya To Hoga' and 'Koi To Sune Mere Gam Ka Fasaana, Kahin Maar Dale Na Zalim Zamaana' Mukesh sung two solos: first, then popular and now obscure 'Dil Tuze Diya Tha Rakhne Ko' and now popular 'Tara Tute Duniya Dekhe'. I rate 'Dil Tuze Diya Tha' as one of Mukesh's best. Flute notes are very good. Well, that completes journey through December 1996. Wishing you a happy 1997, where ATMJH will, hopefully, continue to bring more songs.
