On Chitragupta's anniversary, what other film could be more
appropriate, than Bhabhi ? His name reached in every household,
by this popular soundtrack. And then there is one more reason to
chose this film. As today, in Gujarat people celebrate Makar
Sankranti traditionally as kite flying day, and in this film he
gave us the most popular and perhaps the best kite song -- 'Chali
Chali Re Patang Meri Chali Re' !

Song: Chhupa Kar Meri Aankhon Me, Wo Puchhen Kaun Hain Ji
Ham
Main Naam Dun Unka, Jo Dil Me Rehaten Hain Har
Dam

        Film: Bhabhi (1957)
        Music: Chitragupta
        Lyrics: Rajendrakrishna
        Singer: Mohammad Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar
        *ing: Balraj Sahani, Nanda

I don't have words to praise beauty of this melodious song. I
like musical pieces more than singing here. Though Lata-Rafi
sound very good, IMO, it's the music that gives an overall lift.

Film has more than one famous Rafi songs. Among them 'Chal Ud Ja
Re Panchhi' is foremost. In the slow version shahnaai notes are
touching. I also remember one more solo that was quite popular
then: Jawan Ho Ya Budhhuya, Ya Nanhi Si Gudiya.

Lata came with two more melodious songs. My favourite 'Tie Lagaa
Ke' and that rain-song 'Kare Kare Baadra Ja Re Ja Re Baadra, Meri
Atariya Na Shor Machaa'
