Song: Zara Sun Lo Ham Apane Pyaar Ka Afasaana Kehate Hain
Hame Ye Duniyawaale (2), Aap Ka Diwana Kehate
Hain

        Film: Bazaar (1949)
        Music: Pt. Shyamsundar
        Lyrics: Qamar Jalalabadi
        Singer: Lata Mangeshkar, Raj Kumari
*ing: Nargis, Shyam Kumar, Nigar Sultana, Cuckoo,
Yakub, Gope

It's surprising to me too; to have two consecutive songs from a
composer in the series and both from same year! Pt. Shyam Sundar
is remembered for Bazaar and in particular for that exquisite
Lata number 'Saajan Ki Galiyan'. But he should also be remembered
for this song, and for Nirdosh (1950), Dhholak (1950), Kale
Baadal (1953), Alif Laila (1953). There were questions about
Sulochana Kadam to know whether she appeared after Dhholak....
Well yes! One of the film was Kaale Baadal. Some really nice
songs. And one more was Mukhada (1952).
Well, coming to this song of Bazaar, I suppose this
should have remained one of the popular song then. For one, it
had two good singers. One emerging one Lata and other established
one Raj Kumari. Speaking of Raj Kumari brings to mind some great
songs from Panna (1944), Pannadai (1945), Mahal (1949), Baware
Nain (1950), Naubahaar (1951), Hyderabad Ki Naaznin (1954) (aka
Hyderabad, MD Vasant Desai) etc.
This and other songs like this (for example Lata-Premlata
duet of Badi Behan, or Raj Kumari-Johara duet of Mahal) reminds
me a influence of great tradition of Panjabi music/culture
through numerous musicians from that region.
