Vistashp Balsara was well versed with Indian as well  as  Western
type  of  music.   His  compositions  have  Hindustani  soul  and
Western-cum-Hindustani  body.  He  was  a  musician  in   Shankar
Jaikishan  orchestra.  In  this  song though, entire structure is
based  on   Hindustani   classical,   including   most   of   the
orchestration  --  which is light. I don't know the raag on which
this song is based on, but tell you it's one of the  finest  Lata
semiclassical  song.  The  way she blends her voice adepts up and
downs is breathtaking. It's a wonderful rare gem.
