Our films have given us songs that I call 'sa.ndeshAtmak' --  the
one which conveys some meaningful, often philosophical message. I
like almost all songs of that type. One singer who  has  sung  so
many  of  them  is of course Rafi and here is one such song. It's
been a vintage favourite.  A  familiar  song  for  Radio  Ceylone
listeners  and an unknown song for others. Get hold of it and get
into it's 'bhajan-ras' ! Like many other songs, this too is known
for it's lyrics; not to mention a pleasant-on-ear tune and Rafi's
soulful singing.

I  have  one  more  announcement about ATMJH series. I am heading
towards a tightly scheduled project and am not sure  if  it  will
allow  me enough time to post regularly. Although I don't like to
close this series with so many gems yet to be discussed, it looks
certain  that He wishes those postings to happen, either later or
by other person or both. Now, I will be posting articles in  this
series  infrequently. If someone wants to continue, please do so.
(Now that guest articles can be posted directly, I suppose  there
will be many to jump in. :))

I request you to post information about any enjoyable  old  songs
that  you  come across to keep this series alive. The aim remains
the same -- sharing knowledge of old treasure.
