When the dark clouds cover the sky, big lightnings enlighten the large area ; anyone would like to have a loving company. But what about those who are away from their dear ones ? They find lonelyness a curse. Our poets have expressed both the moods exceptionally well. Of those who are together and of those who are 'preshit bhartruk' (Mahakavi Kalidas' ; in case of a woman). #37 Song: Ghir Ghir Ke Aayi Badaria, Saajanawa Na Ja Rote Hain Nain Baware, Inhe Samaza Ja....Ghir Ghir Ke Film: Ek Thi Ladaki (1949) Music: Vinod Lyrics: Aziz Kashmiri Singer: Lata Mangeshkar *ing: Meena K. Shorey, Motilal There will sure be complains to not to honour the 'Lara Lappa' number as the first one to get a berth in ATMJH series, from this film. But.... This one has typical Panjabi tune as one can expect from Vinod. Lata was still in her teen, I suppose, when recording would have occurred. As her voice is still not quite the voice of Lata we know. But even than we love this early Lata voice too. In orchestra, if you want to call it, are just violins and tabala and ,common in that time, harmonium. Still, song is very sweet. Film has one very good Lata-Rafi duet. I will talk of that after current RJGK (#32) is over. (As I promise to Kalyan to talk on them.) Note: Today's ATMJH is dedicated to Pt. Bharat Vyas on his death anniversary.
