Song: Aa Neele Gagan Tale Pyaar Hum Karen
?????? Pyaar? Ka? Ikaraar Hum Karen

        Film: Baadshah (1954)
        Music: Shankar Jaikishan
        Lyrics: Hasarat Jaipuri
        Singer: Lata Mangeshkar, Hemant Kumar
        *ing: Pradip Kumar, Usha Kiran

Melody of this song never seems to be dying. If Lark would ever
like to sing a Hindi film song, it will surely be such ones. In
fact, I have not yet heard any Hemant-Lata duet that I have not
liked. The accordion player has done a fantastic job for this
song. I have not come across this type poetry from Hasarat
Jaipuri, very often. Very good lyrics.

Other known song is, of course that lovely Hemanto solo:
'Rula Kar Chal Diye Hansi Ban Kar Jo Aye The
Chaman Ro Ro Ke Kehata Hai, Kabhi Gul Muskurae
The'

And then there is one by Shankar too! This time it's a Lata-
chorus affair:

'Gul Muskura Utha, Bulbul Yeh Ga Utha
Bagon Me Aa Gayi Bahar, Bagon Me Aa Gayi Bahaar'

A good song, indeed.

There exist one more Lata song (known to me) which is OK.

'Jab Palbhar Chain Na Paun Re Baalam
                To Kaise Bitaaun Din Ratiyaan'

For, I have heard this slow number only once, I won't rule it out
as not good. Some songs, require one more round of listening,
before you start liking it. In other words, unlike 'Bagon Me Aa
Gayi Bahaar' (that is the "official" mukhada), this second song
is less striking.
