#75 Song: Jayega Jab Yahan Se Kuchh Bhi Na Saath Hoga Do Gaz Zameen Ka Tukada Tera Libaas Hoga O~~~ Film: Moti Mahal (1954) Music: Hansraj Behl Lyrics: Prem Dhavan ? Singer: Mohammad Rafi, Madhubala *ing: Suraiya, Ajit, Jeevan In it's time, this was (I may say 'is') a very popular song. Delivered well by both Rafi and Madhubala Zaveri, whom I have heard most of the time only under Hansraj Behl's direction. Her voice is sweet to some extent. Her voice is high pitch too. At lower notes she definitely sounds pleasing. But otherwise, and in particular in third octave, what you hear is, screaming! In this song she does very well controlled singing. The tune set, the selection of instruments and little 'layakaari' makes this song a very enjoyable song. I wonder how many songs did Rafi sing based on this "philosophical" stuff ? But more importantly majority of those songs are good. This film, has some nice Suraiya solos too. One popular song was: Koi Laakh Kahe Aisa Waisa, Ab Duniya Ka Dar Kaisaa Jab Teri MeriJab Teri Meri, Meri Teri Ek Marazi Very good song with light but nice, orchestration. One more song that I recall, was sung by Shamshad Begum: Dekh Meri Adaa Hue Lakhon Fida. Here she sing some meaningless words (a kind of filmi tarana) to match the rhythm. Net result is: A cute song. One more song that I know is by Suraiya. It's a sad song: 'Kismat Ne Hame Lunt Liya'
