Song: Na Jaane Yeh Chanda Na Jaane Yeh Sitaare
Aaj Mere Sapane Kisi Ne Rang Daare (2) ....

        Film: Champaakali (1957)
        Music: Hemant Kumar
        Lyrics: Rajendra Krishna
        Singer: Lata Mangeshkar
        *ing: Suchitra Sen, Bharat Bhushan

This song, has a typical Hemant stamp and uses 'Bansuri' quite
well. Unlike the famous 'Chhup Gaya Koi Re, Dur Se Pukaar Ke,
Dard Anokhe Hae De Gaya Pyaar Ke' , Lata sings this number more
seriously. Lata is more soft than that popular song. (I feel,
Lata could have been better in 'Chhup Gaya Koi Re'.)

There is one more Lata solo, which according to some people,
could well be her best in the film:
'Khuli Hawa Me Dole Re, Aaj Mera Man Bole Re
Dil Ki Bahar Leke Aye Hain ............'

A very soft number. This song is slower in pace compared to 'Na
Jaane Ye Chanda' It still carries the same freshness, you feel in
the open air of countryside in the monsoon.

One more song, that I think is from this film, and is a Hemant,
Lata tandem. I have heard only Hemant version - and a long long
time back: 'Tere Baadalon Ki Khair Tere Saagaron Ki Khair'.
Hemant version is a sad song. A good song.
