Song: Chale Jaana Nahin, (Ho) Chale Nahi Nain Milaake
                Haye Sainya Bedardi, Sainya Bedardi

        Film: Badi Behan (1950)
        Music: Pt. Husnalal Bhagatram
        Lyrics: Rajendrakrishna
        Singer: Lata Mangeshkar
*ing: Suraiya, Geeta Bali, Rehmaan, Ulhas, Pran

A pre-1949 Lata Mangeshkar voice has always created waves in
musical field. Some didn't like it then and declared it as "not-
matured" and some recognised its true potential. Today almost all
loves her songs of that time. I don't know how many times I have
heard this, (and) I never seem to get tired of it. This music
director pair has produced an amazing tune that knows no time
boundary and is still as pink as it was then! And they don't seem
to have satisfied with just one of that gener, that they gave not
one, not two, not three but four songs in our basket. How many of
us have really forgotten following songs, with the progressing
time ?

- Jo Dil Me Khushi Ban Kar Aaye (2)
Wo Dard Basa Kar Chale Gaye, Hae Chale Gaye
Jo Shamma Jalaane Aaye The (2)
Wo Shamma Buza Kar Chale Gae, Hae Chale
Gaye (Lata)

- Chup Chup Khade Ho Zuroor Koi Baat Hai (2)
Pehali Mulakaat Hai Ye, Pehali Mulakat
Hai (Lata, Premlata)

- Woh Paas Rahen Ya Door Rahen
                Nazaron Me Samaaye Rehate Hain
Itanaa To Bata De Koi Muze
                Kya Pyaar Isi Ko Kehate
Hain (Suraiya)

Was the repetition of antaraa a trick here ? I don't know. But it
really worked. The musical pieces are very sweet, adding to
melody of these songs. And when I think of the instruments  used;
just two come out from memory: Sarangi and Tabla!

And finally while these sisters are busy celebrating their love,
we have had Mohammad Rafi bringing us some 'Vishhaad Ras'.

Muhobbat Ke Dhoke Me Koi Na Aaye, Koi Na Aaye
Ye Ik Din Hansaae To Sau Din Rulaye, Sau Din
Rulaye

A good song. One can hear him 'cry'; (but) this time for a good
end-result.
