Does it remind you of anything ? Of course it does! I guess every average
RMIM-er, while back home in India, used to be tuned in to Vividh Bharati to
listen to the highly enjoyable AIR program CHHAYA GEET. Remember the famous
opening lines "Chhaya geet sunne walon ko Kaanta Gupta ka Namaskar" ? For
those of you who are not familiar with this program, Chhaya Geet was a 30 min
program in which songs based on a particular theme used to be played.
The following Chhaya Geet Series is based on the AIR program mentioned above.
This series serves to corroborate the "Naushad fan postulate" which states
that "For every REAL life situation, there exists atleast one REAL song which
can be sung in your IMAGINARY world!" :-) This series is also a small tribute
to my favourite Vividh Bharati anouncer (and Chhaya Geet hostess) Kanta Gupta.
